  • Finham Park celebrates another strong set of GCSE Results

Finham Park School is once again celebrating a strong set of GCSE results from our latest Year 11 cohort. Almost three quarters of all results are at grade 4+ (against a national average of 67.3%), and in English and Maths, the proportion of grade 4+ significantly exceeds national averages (21% higher in both maths and English).

At the top end, a quarter of all grades are at grade 7+ (compared with the national average of 22%). In maths, the proportion is almost double that nationally (32% vs. 17%) and in separate sciences, our average 7+ grade is 86% compared with a national average of 46%.

There are some standout student performances with Mikayeel Hussain achieving 8 grade 9s, 3 further students achieving 8 grade 8+ grades including Louis Limoges and Abby Davis, and 17 students achieving 7+ grades in 8 or more subjects. This is an incredible achievement and testament to their hard work and commitment to learning.

There have been particularly strong performances in a number of subject areas including Science, Maths, Drama, Film, Art and Business. Finham Park prides itself on offering a broad curriculum and it is great to see students excelling in the full range of different areas.

Speaking of the science results, Dr Uliana, Director of Science commented, ‘we are celebrating an outstanding set of A-level and GCSE results this year, which reflect the exceptional dedication, resilience and ambition of our students, supported every step of the way by a highly committed team of staff. Our staff take pride in knowing our students as individuals and are therefore better equipped to support each student in a manner that translates into personal success.’

We are delighted to welcome back many of our students into our sixth form, and for those heading to new destinations, we wish them every success for the future. It is our hope that our Finham values, and our focus on high expectations will stay with our young people wherever they choose to go.
