Congratulations to our new mat student leaders!

We are proud to celebrate the success of Hamna, Iman, Maria and Nettle , who have been successfully appointed as MAT Student Leaders following a highly competitive selection process.

The students were chosen through a rigorous application and assessment programme, which included a range of tasks and a formal interview. This robust process allowed candidates to demonstrate their leadership potential, communication skills and commitment to representing students across the Trust. Their success reflects not only their ambition, but also their maturity, confidence and willingness to contribute beyond their own school community.
As MAT Student Leaders, the students will work collaboratively with representatives from the Trust’s four secondary schools. Together, they will help to plan and deliver MAT-wide sixth form initiatives, including a debating competiton, a sixth form sports day, a World Class celebration event and a MAT wide culture day. These opportunities will enrich the experience of sixth-form students across the Trust and provide valuable leadership experience for the students involved.
The role offers an excellent platform for developing key skills such as teamwork, organisation and strategic thinking, while also giving students a broader perspective on how schools and organisations operate. These “golden opportunities” will support them as they prepare for university, apprenticeships and future employment.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms Green, Head of Sixth Form, whose vision and leadership have been central to the success of this initiative. Her commitment to placing student leadership at the heart of our work has created meaningful opportunities for students to contribute, develop and lead.
We wish our new MAT Student Leaders every success as they bring their ideas to life over the coming year.
