The School Finham Park is a popular and successful 11-18 comprehensive school situated in the south-west of Coventry. There are currently 1500 students on the school roll, including over 300 in the Sixth Form.
Finham Park has earned an excellent reputation within the local community and our staff are both dedicated and highly qualified. The last Ofsted report endorsed Finham Park as a good school where standards have remained well above average and have risen above the national trend over the last five years. Parental expectations of performance are high and parental involvement is actively encouraged. The school has a strong tradition of academic success and in 2008, 80% of pupils achieved 5+ A*-C grades at GCSE level. We take great care to provide a safe and secure environment for all of our students and new pupils will be made to feel welcome at the school. We actively encourage the development of good citizenship skills and demand high standards in both the appearance and behaviour of our students. The face of education is changing rapidly and Finham Park School wants to be at the cutting edge of these changes. We continue to be very forward looking and have recently introduced many positive changes throughout the school. Our Specialist and Training School status and the introduction of new technologies are helping to transform teaching and learning across a wide range of subjects. |
We are a Specialist School for Mathematics and Computing, and a Training School. Recently, we have been awarded both Healthy Schools and International School status. Since 2005, we have beeen the only accredited centre for the International Baccalaureate in Coventry - though we also offer an impressive range of A-levels for our large and diverse Sixth Form.
